This is a question I answered on quora...
My first thought would be that as a person who has just suffered from a traumatic brain injury… you are already trying to deal with the changes to your brain from the injuries you have received and for many this can take years, so there would be an issue of timing. What are you trying to accomplish with implants? control the likely onset of epilepsy or susceptibility to early onset Parkinson / Alzheimer etc… Imho from experience and investigation… a traumatic brain injury shatters a persons being and character in unforeseen ways … science is good for many things but what everyone who suffers from any kind of psychological injury needs is patience understanding and love. Wishing you all the best. :) Comments are closed.
